" I wanted to send you a note that you will, hopefully, share about the amazing success I have had with one of my clients.
Our client, "K" is a widowed 85 year old wonderful lady. I met her in January and we began the AMM brain training. She has a wonderfully supportive daughter that is always trying to find ways to make her mom's life more fulfilling everyday. K's daughter and her caregivers had noticed she had been deteriorating in the few months before we began the AMM. She was becoming more anxious when alone and much more forgetful. In the time we have been working together, K moved from her independent living space into a facility that allows her more support, provides her meals and on-site medical attention when needed, but still allows her her independence in everyday living. This was a huge adjustment for K and has caused her a great deal of stress. She has exhibited some signs of depression due to the change, and, understandably, it has taken a toll on her. Everyday is a new day and with everyone's support and understanding, K is working on accepting and making the best of the changes in her life.
In all the chaos of K's move and major changes in her life, her and I have been continuing the AMM twice weekly and she has been very receptive to my visits, she has shared a lot of her life stories with me over the process and we have formed some great new memories as well. What is most significant to me is that last week we completed our first eight weeks and I sat down with her to administer the second DSAT. Her results were outstanding. On January 19th, K scored an 11 out of 30. On March 24th, she scored 16 out of 30!!!
Especially given all the stressors in her life and her emotional state, this increase to me is phenomenal. AND she is happy about it. She is pleased with herself and that is what matters!
I can hardly wait to see her results as we continue on this journey and she is able to work with booklets personalized to her many interests.
I just wanted to share a success story with you and say Thanks for helping us at Nurse Next Door to "make lives better" "
